DESCRIPTION:
MTC and CCSD will host Mike Wiley on Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11, 2024. Mike Wiley will perform Brown vs. Board of Education: Over 60 Years Later twice on Monday and twice on Tuesday; this includes one performance for each of the four middle schools (Burney-Harris-Lyons, Clarke, Coile, and Hilsman). Brown vs. Board of Education “recounts the effects of the decision on the families who participated in the original court case, the impact of the ruling on school systems at the time and the challenges still being made today.” A post-show talkback with Mr. Wiley will occur immediately at the close of each performance.
