DESCRIPTION:
The Willson Center for Humanities and Arts, in partnership with the Institute for African American Studies and the Department of English, will welcome Pulitzer Prize winner and former Poet Laureate of the United States Natasha Trethewey to UGA as the 2021-2022 Delta Visiting Chair for Global Understanding.
Natasha Trethewey will take part in a public conversation at the historic Morton Theatre in downtown Athens with Barbara McCaskill, professor of English and associate academic director of the Willson Center, and John Lowe, Barbara Methvin Professor in the department of English. Books will be offered for sale at the Morton Theatre event by Avid Bookshop.
